Spinning, Felicia's Notebook

2,234 yards for Spinzilla 2016

It’s definitely better than two years ago when I barely made 1,000 yards! I did my best to try to find time each day to spin a little and this year, I managed to eek out 2,234 yards. That’s one skein of Tea Leaves in Superwash Merino+Nylon, the Tokyo Night Lights that was our exclusive colourway for last year’s Spinzilla, and also a bunch of random fibre from years ago when I took a class with Spunky Eclectic at SOAR. It was kind of a week of “housekeeping” spinning where I was just trying to spin up my random leftover bits of fibre from various things.

300+ yards of Yak+Silk singles... still much more fibre to spin!

This year I tried to be gentle with myself and my time, so I decided to just spin my default yarn and 2-ply everything. It’s my go-to. It’s my comfort.

I hope you all enjoyed your week of spinning too!
