The first month of the year is always one of the craziest for me. From putting together the entire year’s editorial calendar and wish list, to staying on top of to-do lists, trade show travel, and after-holiday catch-up, it gets a little nutty. And then, what did I have to do to make it harder? Get a PUPPY.
The majority of January involved getting ready for a trade show. In this case, Teresa and I attended the Creativation show in Phoenix, Arizona. This huge event featured stamps, paper, yarn,ย jewelry, and so much more. It was an exciting opportunity to explore the larger world of crafts.
Despite all the crazy travel and puppy drama, the super fun projects on my agenda have been making headway, like our upcoming Spring with SweetGeorgia Collection, Vol. 2! Photoshoots and pattern reviews and edits, oh my!
There may or may not be another little mini-collection in the works, too … Wink!
My job is awesome in a variety of ways, but what makes it especially more so is WHY. Or rather, MY why. The best part of my work is being able to create something that you, our friends, can savor and enjoy during your personal time. That’s a pretty potent responsibility … ensuring that the special time you carved out to craft is worthwhile. I am so humbled that you let me into your hands and heart while knitting, so I hope these sneak peeks into the behind-the-scenes makes you feel just as excited as I am to do it.
