A Room of One’s Own

Rand Avenue Studio

As I watch my young kids explore their creativity โ€” splashing paint, hot gluing popsicle sticks together, and cutting out millions of tiny pieces of coloured paper โ€” it’s apparent how important it is to have space for that creativity. We all need room to express our creative souls… and if you’ve visited SweetGeorgia at any time in the recent few years, you’ll see that we completely ran out of room.

So I want to share with you today a video that has been more than a year in the making…

As I talked about previously, we will soon be moving our Vancouver SweetGeorgia studio to a new home. We’ve now started the process of renovations to the new space, but before that, I filmed a little bit of a tour to show what it looks like before anything happens in our new studio space.

Join me on today’s Taking Back Friday vlog episode and get a look at the before of our new showroom space, new dye studio and production space, as well as where we’ll be doing future filming and teaching for the School of SweetGeorgia.

It’s been a very long process to get to this point and I am so excited to finally share with you more about what the process has been and what I can’t wait for it to be.

*ALSO, as hinted in today’s video, be sure to sign up for our email newsletter HERE to hear more about upcoming products coming soon to the SweetGeorgia site!
