The ever talented beaded lace designer extraordinaire, Sivia Harding, just released a new pattern that features our Silk Crush yarn.
It’s so lovely, with the twinkling of beads sprinkled throughout the shawl, I had to share it with you. This pattern would work beautifully in any one of our sock/fingering weight yarns or even the Merino Silk Fine for an ultra slinky version. Here’s Sivia’s notes about it:
Belle Nuit, or Beautiful Night, portrays an explosion of falling stars over a night sky. Make your wishes known as you knit this shawl that is worked from the top down featuring one of my favorite constructions: center panel with additional shoulder shaping. The side lace panels are outlined with a subtle cable or twisted stitch pattern, depending on how you choose to work the stitch, and you may choose to end the shawl with a delightful optional beaded picot bind off.
Shawl is worked from the top down, starting at center back neck. Beads are placed using the crochet hook add-as-you-go method. Lace patterns are written and charted. Instructions are given for two sizes, scarf and shawl.
This shawl pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry ยป
just lovely! The silk crush is amazing and so luxurious for shawls.
The silk crush sock yarn is unbelievably wonderful.. what drape, especially with the weight of the beads! It feels like a million bucks!! And thanks to Goodfrieflucy (Alana) for knitting the sample!!
This is beautiful! I don’t generally go for shawls, but I’m dying to knit this one. The way the top edge is shaped to fit my shoulders particularly enchants me!
Very nice, thanks.
