Budding Garden Pullover by Alison Green

I love working with designer, Alison Green. She blends beautifully constructed garments with entrancing stitch patterns. The results are elegant and engaging to knit. Alison’s designed a fabulously flattering pullover in our Superwash DK yarn. It features vertical ribs of twisted stitches and a border of bobble-like stitches (NOT bobbles) in a chevron pattern at the bottom edge of the pullover. This sweater is knit from the bottom up and in one-piece, with raglan shaping blending in seamlessly with the twisted rib.

One thing I love about this pullover is that it’s super stretchy and can fit so many different shapes and sizes. My sister-in-law, Priscilla, was gracious enough to model the sweater for me and, on her, the pullover is about zero ease. Alison designed the sweater to be worn with up to 3″ of negative ease. When I wear the same pullover, it’s definitely more in the negative ease range of things and it still fits and I would feel comfortable wearing it. Plus, the vertical lines can be very flattering!

Yardage required ranges between 4 skeins of Superwash DK for smaller sizes and up to 7 skeins for sizes over 51″. To get a copy of the pattern, head on over to Ravelry to see all the specs.

Just a quick heads up that we’ll be starting a new Summer KAL on June 1st! It will be sweaters and shrugs knit in our yarns through June, July and August. If you use the code “SUMMERKAL” on Ravelry, you’ll get $1 off your Budding Garden Pullover pattern!
