It’s submission time again! We’re on the hunt for fall and winter designs that feature and take advantage of the nature of hand-dyed yarns. Garments and accessories that are simple yet infinitely wearable — clothes you want to live in.
We have offered a moodboard with colour and yarn suggestions, but we will consider all ideas and submissions. The general mood is:
Into the woods. Crisp air. Shocking colour amidst fading and fragile foliage. Seeking comfort and warmth. Wrapped in cozy layers.
This time around we are focusing on these yarns: Merino Silk Fine, Merino Silk Lace, Silk Mist, sock yarns, worsted weight.
Please send your best, unique, and previously unpublished knit/crochet/handweaving designs for sweaters, shawls, socks, hats and accessories for women, men, children and babies. One, two or three-skein projects are especially welcome. Our customers generally skew towards lace and socks, followed by garments.
The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2013 and the patterns and garments for Fall and Winter are due June 15, 2013 and August 15, 2013 respectively. Download our Fall/Winter 2013 Moodboard here or you can see more of the images here on Pinterest. Here’s more info about submitting to us:

hello I was just wondering if swatches need to be in your yarns or if substitutes can be used at this stage?

I’m confused about where to send the submission. Do I email it to the email on the Contact Us page (info @ Sweet Georgia Yarns) or do I physically mail it in (and if so what is the address?)
Oh yes. Please email your PDF submissions to submissions@sweetgeorgiayarns.com
Thanks!
