China Rose from “High Tea”

Potent fermented leaf tea pairs beautifully with rose petals for a bewitching duet of exquisite dark and delicate light. One balances the other into a tantalizingly floral taste. That delicate essence is captured in this rectangular stole.

Soft, delicate, and oh-so beautiful, China Rose is a gorgeous combination of colours in Bulletproof Sock. With just a hint of shine, it is a dreamy accessory for the warmer months ahead. Subtle lace between diagonal panels of garter stitch promise enchantment from cast-on to bind-off.

This shawl came out exactly as I had envisioned – bold garter stitch stripes tempered by the center panel of addictive lace. Knitters might really enjoy the construction, working from one corner to a desired width, then working even to desired length, before finishing off in the opposite corner. It’s called a “bias-knit” and is a ton of fun to work.

I like seeing the other colour combinations…. I have a hard time putting together colours other than the ones in the original pattern, but love seeing other options. Already have the patterns, now I can plan to buy the yarn. The west wind/Lilac is calling to me!
