Each month, we dye a brand new, unique colourway for our Spinning Fibre and Sock Yarn Clubs. Weโre dyeing up March Club right now, so hopefully this will be a great time to share what we did for February:
Colourway // Carrot Thief
For the past month, Iโve been somewhat preoccupied by a little Carrot Thief. My brother and sister-in-law are expecting this Spring and together with their friends, we organized a baby shower for them โ a Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower complete with individual sets of utensils wrapped up in orange and green paper napkins placed in a basket to resemble a basket of carrots! I was tasked with the making of the diaper cake. And not just any diaper cake, but the Topsy Turvy diaper cake as seen on Martha Stewart. In the past few weeks, Iโve ordered carrot-coloured washcloths off Etsy at an embarrasing price, sourced a tiny 6โ Peter Rabbit plushie rattle to serve as the cake topper, and acquired something like 4,000 tiny clear rubber bands to assemble the cake. Needless to say, I have been up to my eyeballs in bunnies and baby stuff!
Yarn // BFL Sock
BFL Sock is our beloved Bluefaced Leicester made washable. BFL is one of the softest, glossiest medium-long wools (longer fibre โstapleโ length), making it a great choice for handknit socks. The fibre is naturally more durable than softer wools like Merino, and with the addition of nylon, your handknit projects will last for a long time.
Fibre // Superwash BFL
Superwash BFL โ our beloved Bluefaced Leicester made washable. BFL is one of the softest, glossiest medium-long wools (longer staple length), making it an all-around favourite fibre to spin. Easy to draft, durable fibre texture, and soft enough for next-to-skin wearโฆ the perfect fibre for everything from laceweight to bulky.

I love this colorway! It makes me hopeful for Spring! :)
