In this episode, I talk to Melissa Kwan, a prolific knit blogger who writes Miso Crafty Knits. Youโll hear about how Melissa went from being a super productive knitter who turned out gorgeous finished objects regularly for her blog to suffering from tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome for the past 9 months. We talked about what Melissa has done to protect and heal her hands so she can continue to enjoy knitting. As makers and knitters, spinners and weavers, we use our hands and our bodies all the time and I know I have taken many of those things for granted. I hope you enjoy our conversation and find ways to take care of your own hands too.

I’ve been following Melissa for ages. So great to hear her voice and get details of her knitterly advent project!
I am always on the laptop and knitting so now I’ve started warming up with knitting stretches from Knit Freedom’s site. I found her post via a pin on PInterest. I started following Melissa this year or so when I was looking around for more blogs to follow; I also like reading about fellow, Asian knitters and like to support them. It was fun to hear her voice. This was a great interview. I’ve in the past purged yarn by donating to knitting clubs at the school where my daughters used to attend in San Francisco. It felt really good, especially getting rid of those leftover balls.
