I’m beyond excited to be chatting with Kim Werker, “camp counselor for grown ups” and the author of Make It Mighty Ugly. Kim and I chat about Mighty Ugly and how to conquer fear of failure, procrastination, and other creative demons in order to move forward and get “unstuck” creatively.
She’s been an amazing inspiration to me for many many years now since she first emailed me about a decade ago about her crochetme website. Since that time, she has worked as the editor of Interweave Crochet for a time and has served as the editor for many many books in the craft world. And she has also authored many crochet and craft-related books over the past several years. Her latest book, Make It Mighty Ugly, is a handbook for vanquishing creative demons. She now leads Mighty Ugly workshops all over North America, teaches crochet at Craftsy, and makes something, even for a few minutes, every day.
