Fall 2012 Colourways

Fall 2012 Gently Variegated. From L to R: Woodland, Spruce, Amethyst

Fall 2012 Multicolours. Clockwise from top left: Rogue, Shipwreck, Chai Spice, Tavern

For Fall, I was craving colours that were just a bit moodier and more roughed up. Shipwreck. Rogue. Tavern. Chai Spice. They conjure images of shadows in twilight and darkened cobblestone alleys contrasted with the warmth of a fire, safe harbour and comfort.

We love our “gently” variegated colourways too because they can become the base for so much interesting colourplay. Our Autumn Flame and Pomegranate colours are some of our most popular. So here are three new ones: Woodland, Spruce, and Amethyst. To me, these are colours I could live in. A square pillow knit from each colour would look fabulous on the dark leather chairs at our studio. A shawl knit from Amethyst. A sweater knit in Woodland. It’s lovely having new colours to play with.

These colours are available in all our yarns and spinning fibres now.

Lovely! The gently variegated yarns are gorgeous and definitely seem versatile and wearable. I love/hate the unpredictability of working with the wildly variegated yarns.

Very pretty. I like the tonal skeins and I bet they are beautiful all knit up.
