The days are running far longer, growing warmer (and muggier) with each new sunrise. You might think I’m a little nuts to be talking about knits for the summer, but imagine those cool evenings out roasting marshmallows, or those restaurants that crank up the AC way beyond a comfortable level. Think about the summer wedding you might attend where a little accessory does the heart good or small gift to make for your elderly neighbor down the street. Knitting remains a constant in my life, even in the summer months.
But, it doesn’t have to be all wool sweaters all the time! Lightweight yarns enable you to savor your favourite craft without the discomfort. I may be a little biased here, but our laceweight yarns, such as Merino Silk Lace, CashSilk Lace, and Silk Mist, go even further by promising luxury and delight! Grin!
If you need a little inspiration, here are five laceweight knitting projects that you can whip up quickly and still come out looking like an easy, breezy, ready-for-summer rockstar.
