We’ve been a bit quiet on the blog lately and it’s not because we don’t have much to say. Hardly. A big reason is because we’ve been busy preparing for the upcoming fibre event of the year, FibresWest, which is going to be held this coming Friday, March 18 (10 am to 6 pm) and Saturday, March 19th (10 am to 5 pm) at the AgRec Building on the Abbotsford Exhibition Park Grounds, 32470 Haida Drive, Abbotsford, BC (Exit 87 off of Hwy #1).
For the past few weeks, we’ve been packaging the yarns and fibres that we’ll be bringing, including some new yarns (like pure 100% silk lace yarn) and some indulgences (like a merino/cashmere/silk blend spinning fibre that is divine!). In the spirit of spring cleaning, we’re also bringing some seconds that will be available for more than 50% off. And there will also be some freebies and spinning fibre samples too.
Admission is $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for students & seniors, and kids 12 and under can attend for free. Parking is free on the Exhibition grounds. One important note from the organizers: There is no bank machine on the premises and vendors cannot take Interac on site. SweetGeorgia Yarns will be accepting payment by Visa, Mastercard and cash for your convenience.
