The beautiful duo that makes up Tin Can Knits (Emily Wessel and Alexa Ludeman) is at it again. “It’ being coming up with designs that both do good in the world and inspire our artistic drive. With a collaboration of other designers, they launched a new book yesterday, Heart On My Sleeve, with 100% of the net proceeds going to The Against Malaria Foundation.

“We chose to donate to the Against Malaria Foundation because the need spoke toย us personally as mothers. Malaria is a preventable disease – no one need die of it.
Yet thousands of small children and pregnant women die of it every day. Malaria isย relatively cheap to prevent, which means that every ebook sold and every dollar you
donate really counts toward saving lives and improving economies.”

A total of nine knit designers started with a basic sleeve and body pattern, but then dressed it up with a unique yoke. From stripes to fair isle or soft texture to cables, the design options seem endless. With everything sized from baby to big, there is literally something for everyone. We are delighted that they used our Superwash DK for the baby-sized version of Heartstring byย Joji Locatelli!
