Dyeing, Taking Back Friday

Join our SOS Acid Dyeing Study Group

Felicia Lo Wong in the SweetGeorgia dye studio

In today’s vlog episode, I want to talk to you about learning how to dye your own yarn and spinning fibre. It is absolutely amazing and it, obviously, completely changed my life.

I started learning how to dye my own fibre and yarn back in 2004, and from there, I started the business around hand-dyeing. Then in 2017, we founded the School of SweetGeorgia. The whole School was originally based on two dyeing classes: Dyeing Intentional Colour and Dyeing Complex Colourโ€”teaching how to mix your own dye stocks, immersion dyeing through to hand-painting and creating more nuanced and layered colours. If you’ve ever been curious about creating colours yourself, I highly encourage you to join us at our upcoming Acid Dyeing Basics Study Groupย taking place this summer!

We’d love to hear what you want to learn to dye, or what your biggest dyeing questions are. We look forward to seeing you inside the School, participating in the study group where both Charlotte and myself will be available to answer your dyeing questions along the way!
