Last Few Hours in the February Hold-Along

Last few hours of the February Hold-Along - tabs ripped back progress tee in purple/grey yarn

Happy Tuesday, my friends, and welcome to the last day of our February Hold-Along. We have just a few hours left in the day to squeeze in our last Hold-Along progress, but that certainly doesn’t mean this exploration into double-stranded projects has to end!

Where’s Tab At?

I am *nowhere. *

I was happily back on track after my two weeks of sick and ailing family members, knitting away and admiring my progress. I finished all of my waist shaping and was nearly to mid-bust when I thought, “That seems really short.”

Well, that happens when you work four decreases over SIX rows instead of the required four decreases over SIXTEEN rows. Cue more drama.

Last few hours of the February Hold-Along - notes on a white page in a bullet journal with a pile of ripped out purple yarn on topSo, guess who is not finishing because she’s pretty much right back where she started?

STILL! What have you learned while working on your double-stranded project? I’ve learned how much I love the weight and feel of lace-weight yarns held together. Three strands of Merino Silk Lace are just like working with worsted weight, but it feels a lot lighter. I am SO excited about the design possibilities.

Today’s Hold-Together

In a couple of hours, I’ll be live on zoom HERE for our final Hold-Along meetup. I hope you’ll join me at 4 pm EST / 3 pm CST / 1 pm PST. I even have a few patterns I want to give away to a couple of attendees, if that’ll woo you over. Wink.

Your Beautiful Results

It has been SO fun watching the unique ways you’ve put yarn, fibre, and colour together in your knitting, crochet, and weaving projects. Look at how it all comes together:

I also want to announce the winner of the Progress Photo Giveaway. Entries from your posts in the Discord #Hold-Along channel and the School of SweetGeorgia Hold-Along Group were numbered and then dropped into a random number generator. And the winner is โ€ฆ

Congrats and look for a message from me later this week!

Thank you all, again, SO MUCH for joining us on this special make-along.
