Level Up // new labels and packaging

Press check for new SweetGeorgia yarn labels

It’s time. We’ve been packaging our yarns and fibres with hangtags and 8/2 cotton for the past seven years and finally decided that it was time to level up! So, this past summer, we started re-working our packaging and labels for our yarns, fibres, and Party of Five packages. With some help from designer, Tina Yan, we were persuaded to move away from hangtags and string!

Moving forward, our yarns will start to be packaged with wraps, rather than hangtags, which should make easier to recognize and handle at your local yarn shop. And Teresa found these perfectly-sized boxes for us, so now our Party of Five sets will come in these sexy new gift boxes!

I was just at the press check this morning at the printers, working with the super amazing staff there to get exactly the right shade and density of SweetGeorgia pink.

It's kind of tricky, getting that exact right shade across different papers and presses

Hopefully we’ll have much of this in time for Knit City on October 1 and 2 so that you can see some of the new packaging for yourselves! SweetGeorgia Yarns is happy to sponsor the Friday evening lecture with Ysolda Teague at Knit City this year too. So we’ll be excited to see our local Vancouver knitters and friends next weekend.

And we’ll be rolling out our new labels as quick as we can for future orders. Hope you’ll enjoy these as much as we do!
