In today’s episode of Taking Back Friday, I’d like to introduce you to the new loom. It’s been 43 days since the loom arrived at our house and I’m embarrassed to say that there is no warp on the loom and no weaving is currently happening on said loom.
As I reflect on why I haven’t started working on the loom, I realize that I’m paralyzed by the need for perfection. It’s pressure from making a singular, amazing, Epic Cloth project… But the antidote is simply to push forward and weave off as many warps as possible. And as I talk about weaving projects and project planning, I also look at ways to overcome creative paralysis, get more practice, and face perfectionism.
