The winter issue of one of our favourite magazines, Twist Collective, has hit the digital newsstand and we couldn’t be more excited! Especially when we find the utterly charming hat and mitt set worked in our Superwash DK.

Merriment by Annie Théberge uses a cozy cable and colourwork pattern that looks like the PERFECT set to snuggle up in before hitting the wintery outdoors, don’t you think?

2 skeins of MC and 1 skein of CC1 and CC2 will make one hat and the mittens.
Suggested yarn:
SweetGeorgia Yarns Superwash DK (256yd/234m per 4oz/115g skein; 100% Superwash Merino wool)
2 skeins in Nightshade (MC)
1 skein each in Oxblood (CC1), and Birch (CC2).

Needles:
Sizes 4 US/3.5 mm: needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round, circular needle 16”/40cm long
Size 5 US/3.75 mm: needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round, circular needle 16”/40cm long

gauge:
22 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm in Stockinette stitch, using larger needles
29 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm Chart A, using larger needles
26 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in Chart B, using larger needles

Note:
The Hat and Mittens in this set are all worked in the round from the bottom up. The colorwork and cable patterns are presented in chart form only.
