Ahhh, summer is around the bend! This summer is shaping up to be one of the craziest and busiest summers we have had in a long while.
Between my husband, me, and our little family, we have SEVEN separate, multi-day trips planned in June and July. They are for work, weddings, friends, and family. We do love a “full” life and a full schedule, but this is a bit ridiculous.
I think back to two summers ago, when we had a wonderfully relaxing summer camping trip with several of the families that we met during our prenatal class days. It was such a joy to disconnect from our devices and simply enjoy the cackling and cacophony of toddlers running around in the dirt, chasing bubbles, and playing on the beach.
Since that summer, we’ve tried organizing everybody together for an annual camping trip, but some of the campers have evolved into “glampers” and want to go “glamping” instead. That’s “glamorous camping” for those who have never heard the term before. Think of furnished yurts instead of flimsy tents and luxurious comforters and beds instead of sleeping bags! This month’s colourway, “Glamping” is all woodsy greens and running water blues with a shot of city slicker pink thrown in the mix. I hope you all are having a great start to summer!

CashLuxe Spark is just like our beloved CashLuxe Fine yarn with a sprinkling of sparkle! This yarn is 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% sparkling stellina spun up into a 3-ply fingering weight yarn. Each 115g skein has approximately 400 yards which is typically enough to make a pair of women’s medium socks.
Fibre // Polwarth+Silk

One of our favourites, Polwarth+Silk is a decadent blend of 80% super soft Polwarth wool and 20% tussah silk for shimmer. This fibre drafts and spins like a dream and will puff up into a bouncy yarn when washed. The Polwarth sheep is a mix of 75% Merino (for softness) and 25% Lincoln (longer staple length) and a must-spin in your repertoire!
