Melanie Berg, indie knitwear designer from Germany, sent me photos of her latest design โ€” Ripplets. It combines an intriguing lace pattern with a clever shape. The wavy lines gently flow and grow wider as the pattern progresses, resulting in a very wearable scarf with lovely accents at both ends.

Ripplets is worked at a loose gauge in our SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace (the sample here uses 2 skeins in Riptide), giving this piece a wonderful drape and airiness. Starting with a provisional cast-on, both sides are worked equally.

Melanie conducted an extensive test-knit for the scarf, so you can be sure the pattern should be easy to read and error-free. The lace design is charted clearly as well.

Ripplets is available now on Ravelry and you can check out Melanie’s other gorgeous designs here as well ยป What are you knitting this weekend?
