Sit and knit with me for a few minutes on my knitting machine. Hopefully you’re finding some quiet time during the holidays to do some things that bring you peace and joy.
Right now, I’m working on a Fair Isle yoke sweater called the Stoodley Jumper, designed by Nic Corrigan at Whitehall Studioย and knitting it in JC Rennie Supersoft on a Singer SK360 knitting machine. In the new year, I’ll share all the details about how I knit this project and all the lessons learned (we have so many dropped stitches to talk about).
Happy holidays and see you in the new year!
Felicia’s blog post on quietly knitting a Fair Isle yoke sweater on her knitting machine is a delightful reminder of the calming and meditative aspects of knitting, whether it’s by hand or machine.
As a fellow knitting enthusiast, I cherish those quiet moments when I can sit down with my knitting needles and create something beautiful. Reading about Felicia’s project on the Stoodley Jumper and her choice of JC Rennie Supersoft yarn is inspiring, and it’s great to know she plans to share the details and lessons learned in the new year.
The anticipation of reading about her dropped stitches and how she overcame them adds a touch of relatability to the knitting process. It’s these little challenges and the satisfaction of conquering them that make knitting such a rewarding hobby.
Thank you, Felicia, for sharing your knitting journey, and I look forward to learning more about your project in the coming year!
