This was inspired by the colorway – asymmetrical always works so nicely for gradient/ombre yarns, and by this stitch pattern that I’ve been dying to use in something for ages.
Shawl lovers will delight in Soft Twilight, not only because of the gorgeous stitch pattern, but because of its amazing ability to highlight hand-dyed, gradient yarns, like our Sea to Sky Party of Five Gradient Mini-Skein Set. Elegant stitches with an asymmetrical shape captivates from start to finish.
CORRINA’S TIP FOR KNITTING SOFT TWILIGHT
As you change colour ways end your colour on Row 6 or Row 12. That way the slip stitches from the previous colour are stretched up onto the next colour making for the nicest transition.
BEHIND THE BRILLIANCE: CORRINA’S FIVE FAVES
Favorite way to spend a Sunday morning: Sunrise at the beach. I need to live closer to the beach – I’m currently 40 minutes away – so I can make this a regular thing. There is nothing like seeing the sun rise over the ocean to make you feel small and invincible at the same time.
Favorite knitting fiber: Wool. All day long. Even in Florida.
Favorite guilty pleasure: Sausage Gravy from the Maple Street Biscuit Company. If you ever get a chance to visit one of these make sure what you eat has sausage gravy. It’s amazing.
Favorite Holiday activity: Family board games. We get so busy around here that it never seems like we have free time. But over the holidays we break out the board games – from silly to maddeningly complex and it’s on like Donkey Kong!
Favorite thing to wear in the winter: Cardigans. I have a closet full of cardigans and I can’t wait for the weather to turn so I can start wearing them again.
