From our hands spring love. These words have been milling around in my mind for the past several months as we have been hard at work on creating colours and designing the patterns to go with our new colourways and yarns. To me, Spring is all about lightness, lightheartedness, and wholeheartedness. Here’s what we’ve done for Spring 2015:
Last fall, we launched Tempest which was a collection of several full garments as well as accessories. For spring, we wanted to lighten up and focus a bit more on socks and shawls. These are all beautiful and easy to knit, using hand-dyed yarns in a way that really features their unique qualities.
Spring 2015 Colourways at SweetGeorgia
While SweetGeorgia has become synonymous with deep, vibrant, and saturated hand-dyed colours, we’ve intentionally chosen to lighten our palette this season. This season, we released eight new colourways: Peony, Grapefruit, Laurel, Dreamboat, Lovestruck, Petal, At the Ballet, and Cloudbreak.

As well, we are entering our 10th year in 2015 and are celebrating with our new “Party of Five” mini-skein sets. Several of our patterns this season feature these new sets.

What’s the “Party of Five”? Well, in celebration of our 10-year anniversary, we’ve made these very special mini-skein kits using our most beloved yarns and our favourite colourways from when we started ten years ago. Rusted, Honey Fig, and Golddigger were among my very first dye creations and we’ve collected together these mini-skein sets to represent those first colourways!
