I have an obsession with picots right now, and I love being able to make them work in cast-on or cast-off form.

Superwash DK has never looked so elegant, feminine, and utterly charming as it does knit up in Wylene. This cute pullover really is the perfect little number to wear for spring. You can purchase Wylene via our Website or Ravelry.

CORRINA’S TIP FOR KNITTING WYLENE

Use smaller needles for the neckline picot cast-on so that it doesn’t flare.

BEHIND THE BRILLIANCE: CORRINA’S FIVE FAVES

Favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon: At the beach – there’s something so grounding about putting your feet in the sand and looking out at the never-ending ocean.

Favorite knitting fiber: I’m still stuck on Merino-cashmere-nylon blends. Wool is a necessary part of almost any knitting fiber I think, the cashmere gives it the oh-my-goodness softness, and the nylon gives it just enough structure.

Favorite guilty pleasure: Biscuits and gravy. Maple Street Biscuit Company is my waistline’s nemesis. If you have one anywhere near you, you must try it!

Favorite spring activity: Getting back to the beach. It warms up fast here and even if the water is too cold, I love it when it’s warm enough to spend the day at the beach, whether I’m working or just breathing in the salt air.

Favorite thing to wear in the spring: Flip flops! I hate wearing closed toe shoes. As I write this answer it’s quite chilly in Florida and I’m wearing shoes and socks and I hate it! I can’t wait until it’s pedicure and flip flop weather again. Fortunately, it won’t take too long!
